Our Youth Ministry Mission Statement
The
youth ministry of Grace Bible Church exists to complement parental
responsibility in nurturing in our young people a spirit-filled life of
spiritual conversation, biblical thinking and godly living. Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not
depart from your mouth [spiritual conversation], but you shall meditate
in it day and night [biblical thinking], that you may observe to do
according to all that is written in it [godly living]. For then you will make your way prosperous,
and then you will have good success.
Our Youth Ministry Philosophy
Our
youth ministry philosophy can be summarized with four descriptions:
God-centered
and thus Word-centered, believing that God’s Word contains every answer for the
needs of our teens.
Family-focused,
believing that children are the God-given heritage and responsibility of the
parents.
Participation-based, believing that whole-hearted involvement is essential to combat
apathy, hypocrisy and an entertainment-based youth program.
Multi-purposed,
believing that each of these events can stand alone or blend with others, but
that each is designed to facilitate our mission statements for the church and
youth ministry.
