In January of 2006, Adam and Kari met in a home
with seven other families to plan for a church that would be committed to answering one
question, “What does the Bible say?”
That pursuit continued with our first worship
service on May 7, 2006 in a community center conference room, and on October
22, 2006 a statement of charter for Summit Springs Baptist Church was signed “as a landmark of remembrance of the
work of God in our midst and the promise of Christ to build His church of which
we are a part to the praise of His glory.
Amen.”
We relocated to the Lee’s Summit Seventh Day
Adventist facility in March of 2007, and we began our Sunday School hour with
classes for children, youth, and adults.
In January 2009 we began supporting our first
missionary family in their gospel ministry in the Central Asia.
In October 2009, the congregation voted to
change our church name to Grace Bible Church in order to better communicate our
passion and purpose.
December of 2009 marked our commitment to our
second missionary family in their gospel effort in the Far East.
After two years of study with the entire congregation and in our men's fellowship, we expanded our doctrinal statement and revised our constitution in November of 2011 in order to better reflect the doctrine and practice of the New Testament church.
By God’s Grace, through the study of the Bible, as Christ’s Church, we will continue to pursue the knowledge of Jesus Christ
and the advancement of His kingdom
